Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar on the request to Congress for funds to help with the humanitarian crisis on the U.S. border with Mexico and the administration’s efforts to reduce health care costs.

According to a filing of the Federal court, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Opens a New Window.  HHS along with its enemies in a lawsuit of California agreed on Friday to postpone implementing a regulation that will enable the medical workers to refuse performing abortions and other treatments related to moral and religious grounds.

The filing said that the rule will open a new window. It was previously meant to be effected from July 22nd but not will be postponed for final consideration in November.

This move has come after the President of the United States, Donald Trump and his administration had declared a rule earlier in the month of May. Furthermore, many policies have been championed to restrict the procedure of abortion both in the U.S. and abroad.

The HHS officials say that the measure that is called “Protecting Statutory Conscience Rights in Health Care; Delegations of Authority,” basically has the purpose of protecting the religious and conscience rights that surround the concept of sterilization , abortion, and assisted suicide.

Planned Parenthood and some other non-profit organizations that offer family-planning services have argued that this rule, if it will be implemented, might impose very heavy costs on the providers of healthcare that is dependent on funding from the federal state, that they have the risk of losing by disagreeing to comply.
