CO2 Increases To Uncontrollable Rates; More Than Ever In 3 Million Years

It is very common in our society the knowledge of climate change and the difference in the concentration of our atmosphere. This change is due to the lifestyle humans have enforced on the planet and the different substances that are being produced and released to the environment.

A recent study conducted by a team of researchers was focused on studying the concentration and rate of presence of a substance in the atmosphere. According to the study conducted, tests show an increase in the concentration of CO2 in our planet. This increase should be addressed due to the fact that it has exceeded any former increase in CO2 in the history of the earth; up until 3 million years ago.

The study worked by introducing a computer simulation which has studied the production of CO2 currently in our planet which is through the greenhouse effect and other reactions. The simulation compares the results with previous results that were obtained through the history of the earth showing shocking values.

The study was led by the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research called Matteo Willeit, who published the study in the journal called Science Advances. He commented on his results saying, “We know from the analysis of sediments on the bottom of our seas about past ocean temperatures and ice volumes, but so far the role of CO2 changes in shaping the glacial cycles has not been fully understood.”
